Our first Wednesday market was filled with tension and expectations. Our afternoon market takes place every Wednesday. What would the first market be like - a success, or a dud? That day at 3:20pm the sky was full of clouds and a massive storm erupted. Did we have to cancel the second day of the North Raleigh Farmer's Market? Luckily shortly before the 4pm opening the storm abruptly ceased. Despite a tornado warning, several hundred people braved the storm and the vendors were able to share the wares with their eager customers. Wednesday currently has less vendors than the Saturday "main event", but as an added extra treat some farmers come exclusively on Wednesday.
